Need to get back into the Swing of things

Been back from vacation almost 3weeks now and still dont have the gusto for anything, been half assing it at the gym. House is somewhat a wreck... laundry is done but not put away so if ya need something you have to go down there to get it. I have not started my trip report for it. I havent even really taken the time to go through my 3000 (yes THOUSAND) pics I took. I know their uploaded and someday I hope to put them in an album or something but for now.. their on the pc. Along with lst yrs vaca and the one before that.

Maybe next week Ill get the gumph to do something LOL. Until then tmrw were going to the Hemet pool to catch the "Dive-In" movie of cars. With this 100° heat we have been having im looking forward to it. Plus I need to cool off from the frustrations of work.

I ♥ Faces

This weeks theme is FEET... pretty far from FACES but still fun. When I first heard of this one, I thought,.. hmm I dont think I have many feet pics unless my camera dropped.. but in looking turns out I have more feet fetish pics then I thought LOL.

This one was my favorite when we went on our Disney Cruise. I am a member of a website dedicated to Disney vacation travel where we write trip reports. In most trip reports its an unwritten rule that everyone takes pics in a hammock of your feet. LOL

So here is this weeks entry. Self portrait LOL, taken on Disney's Private Island, Castaway Cay!

Totally Radical 80's Party

Went to a party for a coworker's husband and it was 80's themed. We had such a blast. The whole time driving we felt like retards but once we got around others that were dressed alike it was all good! Here's a few pics to laugh WITH us not AT us lol

He didnt want to dress up

ahhh this took me back in the day

The $2 shoes got so many compliments (thanks salvation army LOL)

This chick won for best costume LOL
*thinking of doing theme parties more often.... its so much fun!, Roaring 20's, 70's disco nights etc*

Journal Jar Time

Todays Question: Do you remember your family getting a new piece of furniture, a new car or something similar when you were a child?

1st thing I thought of is when my dad got his cadillac. (ya it was so pimp, white stretch cadi with red velvet interior.. told ya straigh P-I-M-P) I was bowling at the time maybe 8 or 9? (we lived in GA at the time in the back woods nothing to do and to play outside in that heat and humitity was a no go LOL. So out mom and I came from the bowling alley and see my dad, he tells us he got a new car and were like WHAT? We walk over to it and my mom is starting to talk loudly in spanish to him LOL im sure it was all loving words LMAO ya right!

We get in and he shows us some of the wowable points. Electric everything, this was back in the 80's so most things were still hand crank windows, locks etc. Then the thing that stands out most to me is the radio. It had the scan button, and my dad said watch this, it comes with magic powers... and when he waved his hand in front of the radio ever so many seconds the radio changed, I was mistafied LOL Thought that was the coolest shit around. So you know I had kids and they were old enough I tried the magic powers they too thought it was cool. Thanks for teaching me the trick dad!

God Bless our Hero

This week is Patriotic Theme, and being the Marine Corps family we are the homecomings to me are always the most patriotic feeling. We have been through 4 deployments. My husband has been gone anywhere from 6months -9months at a time away from home, his sons, and I. He left for OIF #1 when our youngest was 6months old, and the last deployment he was 6. Its a hard life but we make the most of our time together. Here is our last deployment homecoming 2008

We always make signs usually its a sheet I let the boys paint to welcome home daddy, but this time I found online a service that was giving out free professional signs for those service members coming home

I always mark up the back of the car, my hubby HATES this cuz it dirty's the car LOL but I think he secretly loved the attention he gets from it.. and he should he deserves it!

I see buses this is when all the waiting families get excited and kids get out of the jumpers, and people get their signs up and ready so that our hero's can find us.

Off those buses fall out Marines... lots and lots of Marines.. and the bad thing is they all look alike LOL. We have a tradition of signs every deployment, and each deploy it gets harder and harder to come up with something whitier then the last LOL.

This year we had a Disney Cruise planned so it was easier thinking of a funny saying. But we spot him through all the same color clothing, yup its him

More importantly the boys see him

And we are together again as a family... at least until the Marine Corps sends him away again.

A San Francisco Treat

Ok so we are all packed and ready to go. All we need to do is throw in our last minute things (ok my straightener and E's Razor) and we are good to go! I finally found the camera charger so I have that getting all reved up. Suitcases are in the car. Snacks are in a box just need to throw them in the car when we get home tmrw. I even have drinks in the fridge and freezer to throw in the cooler when needed. I am counting down the hours till I get out of work and on to a nice relaxing get away. I need it.

I have planned a Giants game, Alcatraz, bike riding over the Golden gate bridge, going to the Exploritoriam musuem, of course hitting Lombard street, Chinatown, the Pier and Wharf area along with riding a cable car.

Im really looking forward to having a bowl of clam chowda in a sourdough bread bowl and looking at the bridge in amazement LOL. We are staying at the RITZY Holiday Inn LMAO but its right on the bay so we could walk to places if we wanted.

I actually packed gym clothes also as I will be getting up to do at least 30mins on the tread at the hotel. It will be my ticket to eat what I want.. hey its vacation!

Now to go relaxe and hit the rack early as I need to get to work early and finish up some last minute stuff then head out at noon! Going to stop at Old Navy to pick up new 4th of July tshirts for us (we like to be cheesy like that LOL)

Now to plan our route, and email my work some stuff that I need to print out since our printer here is crappy.

Cant wait to take lots of pics and leave my ♥ in Frisco!

Journal Jar Time

Since I havent done one in a while, I think its time. Im sitting at the pc, reading about Michael Jackson, boys are playing the wii, and hubby is still sleeping. I can get in a lil me time, before I have to start breakfast. Later we are going to the Wild Animal Park (great idea on those free passes) the boys love it there. Its not my favorite thing but its doing something and getting out of the house.

So as I was sitting at my desk, I looked up and saw on my shelf my journal jar, figuring I hadnt done one in a while I pulled it down, closed my eyes and pulled out a new questions.

What was the worst thing that ever happened to you?

Hmm, I havent had a horrible life in fact a pretty great one. I cant complain. Well I could but its all lil things really. I guess the only thing coming to mind is that my dad passed away. That what I remember is giving him cpr and the paramedics coming and telling us he was gone. I wasnt ready for him to die. I wasnt prepared, but I guess no one really is.

We had just found out a week before that he had cancer, we thought he would begin treatment and had hopes that he would beat it and there he was laying on the floor lifeless. Im crying thinking about it now.

I didnt get the chance to tell him one last time I loved him. The night before I went over after work and he was sleeping, he hadnt had a good nights sleep in a while and since it was only 6pm I let him sleep. My mom said go ahead and go in there, and I said no Ill let him sleep. I wish I could go back and just look at him, tell him I love him, and give him a hug and a kiss.

Love you dad, miss ya

For the kids catagory, this is of my boys Phoenix and Jusitce exstatic to have daddy home from his 3rd Iraq Deployment. Phoenix was 8 and justice was 4 in 2006, and yes they walk all over their dad LOL.

365 my @$$

So I didnt even make it a week. Not sure why I thought it would be so easy... things come up and I find other things to occupy my time. SO Im not going to go for 365... Im going to make this my place to do with it what I please, when I please.

I havent kept up with the gym, yet havent gained any so its a lose lose situation lol.

Here is what has been occuping my time this week. Im addicted to my new craft.. just what I need more crafts. The only thing that would make it better is if I had girls to share it with LOL. A 30yr old women in all kinds of hair thingys is just weird LOL (but its for WDW.. shhh dont tell the boys lol)

Here is my 1st 1..I have done 2 others but havent taken pics, and I have plans for at least 2-3 more! (ok maybe a few more LOL)

Going out tmrw with my girlies and boy do I need a night out!

Thur 8/14 Cooking day

Ok so by the time I got home today the boys had already ate with moms and weren't hungry. BUT I had made spagettii and meatballs and garlic bread yesterday. Ok so it wasnt from scratch but it was made by my non the less LOL.

I did see a lot of receipes come into my inbox for grilling and with this perfect summer weather we have been having I think Im going to start doing that. Lots of chicken, and veggies etc. May have to move this to a Saturday postings cuz I would rather cook then lol. Need to work that out when Im not so tired.

Called WDW and got the rest of my ADR's I might have to do some rearanging to make it work with our tix or just make our 3day tix, park hopable. We shall see.

Off to bed, Grey's had me in total tears and drained. Thank god tmrw is Friday. Its been a long week. Im vowing to work out Saturday and Sunday. THinking about bypassing the Sunday for Friday but know I eat more on the weekends so a weekend workout is better.

Wed 5/13 Clean House Day

So today I didnt have much time to do as much decluttering and straightinging as I wanted to do as tonight was LOST season finally. SO after the gym came home and quickly did the dishes. Well their clean, still need to put them away. That is what tmrw is for. I can spread the cleaning out I guess LOL.

I also cleaned up all the clothes in my room. I can now see my couch again and the clean hampers are empty again.... just in time for me to fill'um up again. I have about a good 2-3 loads of laundry to do again, along with put a lot of it away. Going to try and get that done tmrw so that on Friday its not so bad when E comes home.

Im hoping with baby steps I eventually will have a neat, clean, decluttered house. Or at least I keep telling myself that. This week I will work on straightining it all up, so that next week can start the decluttering process.

Tuesday 5/12 Journal Jar #1

Told you I had a Jar LOL. Its nothing special but I have over 100+ question to go through. I know I said once a week I would do so I have enough for a 2 yr blog LOL.

What things do you enjoy today, that you enjoyed doing as a child?

Well if I still played softball, that would be it. But since I dont, I guess I will have to say baking. I remember as a kid helping my mom with cookies, or licking the batter and I still do that today. Im not a cooker by any means I hate cooking. But there is just something about baking that I love. (probably the sampling after LOL) Its a way to be creative and try new things. I love hearing people tell me OMG that was so good.

I would love to take a cake decorating class. Its not something I have a lot of patience for but I think would be fun to try. Thats whats so great about baking, you do some mixing/preparings, then put it to bake, then decorate. Inbetween all those steps there is always a break, great for people with no patience like me LOL. Plus at the end of all your hard work you get to taste it and see if it paid off or not.

Having those memories baking with my mom, making xmas cookies is a great memory and im so happy to be able to pass those on to my boys. (Yet they mostly just want to lick the beaters and decorate the cookies) Off to go finish off the brownies I just made LOL

Monday 5/11 Weigh in Day

Well today was the big day to start over. Diet, exersice the whole shabang. I had planned on getting up at 0530 to do an hour of the wii fit.. but sleep just sounded so much better! Trmw I will do it! I *WILL*! So I weighed myself this am and I was 186, after a coffee this am and a breakfast quesadilla from Del Taco. A mini peanut butter and cake batter w/reeces peanut butter cup yougurt. I hit the gym did 3 miles on the tread and worked my legs. I now weigh 185. Thats WITH clothes on.. I weigh myself naked (I know not the visual you need... me either LOL) so I probably am 184 LMAO or wishful thinking!

My overal goal is 140 but im breaking it up into smaller goals. 5lbs a month! I would like to reach 165 by the time we head to Disney so that all my shorts and bathing suit can fit again. I may have to do that Lemonade Diet for a week once a month to make sure I reach that goal.
My next goal is my bday/the marine corps ball. I would like to be 155 by then. Then by Mothers day of 2010 -140lbs.. GOAL! I know I can do it, I have gotten to 152 before. Then let myself get lazy. No more!

I hit the grocery store after the gym to get some stuff to make breakfast in the morning cuz buying is waiting money, time and calories. The stuff at Del Taco has MAD carbs/cals. So figure I can do it all for less! Got a salad for tmrw's lunch. Need to start thinking of making a menu for the week. So I dont go out and grab crap to eat.

I also thought of a new way to work out at lunch at least on Mondays' and Tuesday's. I will rent a movie from Albertson's since they have Redbox video things, I get a free code on Mon to use. Then I will walk on Tue. to return it. Its about 3.5miles there and back.

Today I also had to call and try and make ADR's (advanced dinning reservations) for our Disney trip but unfortunatly there computer system was down so after an hour on the phone with one of THE funniest CM's (cast members) I finally had to give up and go back to work... oh well I try again tmrw. Hoping they still have my picks.

Going to go watch Benjermin Buttons now, got it for Free at the Redbox dvd. I love technology! lol

(click on pic to have a better view of my fat @$$ LOL)

Weight-186
Goal for next week 184
along with to work out all week and watch what I eat!

365 days to a new me

I have wanted to do this for some time now, but just never had the push that I needed. Today, mother's day now marks a great time for me to start. I want to use this time, and space to help reflect on who I was, who I am, and who I want to be. Im looking to change and improve myself, in mind, spirit and of course body. My hope is that this will help me become a better mom, wife, daughter, sister, coworker, etc....over all a better me! (Yet, Im not sure how much better I can get LOL maybe I should work on the sarcasim 1st lol)

How am I going to get the parts of me refined and improved? One day at a time, one part at a time. Each day will be dedicated to certain things to help keep me focused on the overal BIG picture keep me accountable. Plus it will help keep me from being bored doing the same thing OVER AND OVER. lol

  • Sunday- Agenda Day, Plan what is happening in the upcoming week. Great way to get my mind in the game and prepared for what life has to offer. Also share what happened with last weeks plans.
  • Monday- Body Day, I will weight in and set a new weekly goal for myself. I will weigh what my licence says again.
  • Tuesday- Journal Jar Day, I have a jar on my desk that is filled with 365 questions, that pertain to me. Each day I will pull one out and see what memory or thought comes from it.
  • Wendsday- Clean House Day, I will use this day to share what I did to clean/declutter my home. I will be free of junk... someday.
  • Thursday- Cooking/Baking day, I vow to at least cook this one day a week. I will try a new receipe and get my family to try something new in the process.
  • Friday- Scrapbook Day, A layout a day is doable, I *will* use my scrapbook stash!
  • Saturday- Picture Day, I will go and take *A* picture, (or how ever many I want of anything I want). Not only do I get to do something that I love (photography) but I also learn a lil more about my camera too.

Since today is Sunday, no better time to start my year journey then now.

*Today (in fact I need to get ready) we will be meeting the family at the halfway mark for them and us to have lunch at El Torito. Im really looking forward to the Margarita's, but then again when aren't I lol.

*Monday- Have to get back to the gym. Since I was working on mothers day gifts all week I ditched the gym, and boy can I feel it. Back on the old diet regimine also. Also have to call Disney and make our ADR's (Advanced Dinning Reservation's) since we will be 90 day's out woohoo!

*Tuesday- I will sew (did I just say that after all this weeks madness with mothers day gifts?) the disney shirt I bought for myself last yr for the cruise. It will just take a straight sew, I *shouldnt* have any issues with it! (I hope)

*Wednsday- LOST SEASON FINALLY... nuff said

*Thursday- GREY'S SEASON FINALLY... need I say more?

*Friday- Thinking about renting a movie since nothing is good on

*Saturday- Going to take the boys to Temecula's Western Days always fun times there, and good food! (there goes the diet)

So 1day down 364 to go, I can do this, NO I WILL DO THIS!
